Arcane voice actor Jason Spisak found himself embroiled in a huge controversy after a slew of viral allegations were made against him. What are these allegations, and what has been Spisak’s response to them?
Jason Spisak Controversy
The genesis of these allegations can be traced to 2022 when a slew of accusations against Spisak surfaced, and he was indicted for grooming an underage fan.
A social media user known only as IAmTheTruth shared a number of screenshots from a fan’s account who was in contact with Spisak.
The anonymous fan had a lengthy conversation with the Arcane star on private WhatsApp groups and eventually began dating him.
However, the grooming allegations regarding an underage fan were soon proven false since the fan in question was 22 and above the legal age, and the couple were dating as consenting adults.
Nevertheless, the huge age gap between the Silco actor and the fan was labeled as inappropriate by fans, and the backlash did not end there. Spisak was 49 at the time when he started dating the fan.
The allegations did not end there, and other claims included accusations that the actor compulsively tried to contact young female fans online, particularly targeting members of the Arcane and League of Legends cosplay community.
Many fans were caustic in their opinions, but a sizable number of his supporters continued to back him, saying there is nothing wrong with a relationship between consenting adults. Spisak responded to these allegations on social media platforms but later changed his account settings to private.
The resurfacing of an old allegation began after a video on TikTok, which has since been deleted, went viral, calling the Arcane star a creep.
The screenshots of the post were preserved by users and were reposted, with one post raking in over 24,000 likes on the platform.
