International Gem & Jewellery Show in Jaipur attracts 250 buyers from 27 countries

Jaipur, April 13 (IANS) The Gem Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) is hosting the International Gem & Jewellery Show (IGJS) in Jaipur from April 12-14, with 250 buyers from 27 countries attending. Buyers from Algeria to Uzbekistan are participating in the event showcasing India’s prowess in the gem and jewellery industry.

Vipul Shah, Chairman of GJEPC, highlighted the significant role of India in the global gem and jewellery market, with annual exports amounting to $40 billion, supporting over five million jobs. The IGJS aims to strengthen international trade relationships by providing platforms for exporters to engage with the global market.

The IGJS is a curated event held annually in Dubai and Jaipur, showcasing India’s top gem and jewellery manufacturers and exporters to the world. The event is part of GJEPC’s vision to position India as the preferred source for premium gems and jewellery. The show reinforces India’s expertise and excellence in the industry, promoting it on a global scale.

“We remain steadfast in nurturing robust international trade relationships between India and the global markets. This commitment is demonstrated through initiatives such as IGJS and by actively enabling opportunities for our exporters through participation in international events,” said Vipul Shah, Chairman of GJEPC.

The IGJS serves as a platform for India to display its best offerings to the world, attracting buyers from various countries to explore the gems and jewellery market in Jaipur. The event plays a crucial role in strengthening India’s position as a key player in the global gem and jewellery industry, highlighting the craftsmanship and quality of Indian manufacturers and exporters.
