Logan Paul is a well-known social media influencer who first gained attention on YouTube. Currently, he is known for his wrestling matches on YouTube. However, Logan is now embroiled in a major controversy. One issue began in 2021 when Logan launched a platform called CryptoZoo, a business dealing with NFTs.
A YouTuber named Coffeezilla, who exposes scams online, claimed that CryptoZoo was scamming people, mostly young and newbie investors. Logan Paul admitted that there were problems with the business and assured that $1.3 million would be refunded to those who were ripped off.
Logan also apologized and said his partners were the ones in the wrong. He also stated that he saw Coffeezilla’s video and that is where all of this is coming from. Fast forward to 2023, Coffeezilla said Logan sued him in January but then dropped the lawsuit.
Reacting to the whole scenario, a user commented, “Logan got enough money to sue people but not enough to refund the victims of his scam.”
Another user chipped in, “Coffeezilla needs to be protected.”
Logan Paul sues Coffeezilla
Now, Logan is suing Coffeezilla again in 2024 because of defamation related to the CryptoZoo scandal. Coffeezilla responded with a 20-minute YouTube video on his channel and explained why Logan Paul is suing him.
Coffeezilla mentioned that Logan was suing him because he made tweets about Logan refunding the people who lost money. Even though Logan is wealthy, he has only refunded a very small amount of money to people for their losses so far.
Coffeezilla said,
“I’m being sued for two videos and one tweet where I advocated for refunds for the victims. Yes, you heard me right. Logan Paul sued me after I tried to get his fans, the CryptoZoo investors, a full refund… Logan (Paul) chose only to refund the NFTs, which is a minority of the losses, and I had a major problem with that. I have told Logan this, and I have stated my opinion that it is disappointing for someone as rich as Logan not to make things right and instead only pay back a small part of the losses.”
Coffeezilla also stated that Logan’s lawsuit is groundless and said that Logan’s private actions contradict how he behaves in public. While Logan publicly mentioned that he wanted to help the scammed investors, he is now suing Coffeezilla for defamation.
